Experience |

 

​Dr. Weir is a native of the Oklahoma City area and a graduate of the University of Oklahoma. He earned his medical doctorate from the University of Oklahoma School of Medicine, where he received the Gale R. Kimball Scholarship for academic excellence, participated in the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, was a member of the admissions board of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, and graduated with distinction. Dr. Weir completed his medical internship at the University of Oklahoma and his residency at the Dean McGee Eye Institute.

Dr. Kurtis Weir

Dr. Weir is board certified and a diplomat of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is an accomplished speaker and actively participates in many national ophthalmology meetings. Dr. Weir is a member of the Oklahoma County Medical Society, the Oklahoma State Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons. He is also chairman of the board of Physicians Hospital of Oklahoma, and recently served as a clinical investigator for the Staar intraocular lens.

 

Aside from his private practice in Oklahoma City, Dr. Weir travels the state providing quality eye care for many fellow Oklahomans. In his spare time, he enjoys golf, following Oklahoma college football, and spending time with his family.
